Playing with photo editing tool called Tonality. One of the effects gave my ghostly visage some color it has never had. A bit startling. I’m sure an experienced Photoshop hand can create effects like this all day long. As an amateur, it’s fun to have tools like this.

Found Photos
[We’re posting this for archival purposes. Someday, someone might recognize someone] If I had to guess I’d say this was part of a photo of women who worked with my mother (Evelyn Mays) at the Dunklin County Welfare Office in Kennett Missouri. No idea why the photo is torn, if it was an accident or intentional. Latter seems unlikely. Some of the names from the back of the photo: Betty Cash, Dolores Gillpatrick, Leona French, Evelyn Overall, Laverne Johnson, Kay Spears, Beatrice Summers, Lucy Redd.
This is one of hundreds of photos found in my parents attic.

Contact Sheet
The images below were scanned from an old (1973-74?) contact sheet. Pretty sure the photos were were taken by Larry Thomason at one of the frequent poker nights he held in a small house (think “man cave”) in his parent’s back yard. Larry printed a few shots from this particular night but most of these never made it off the contact sheet. I’ve left them in that format because 1) I like it and 2) it was Larry’s call as to what he wanted to print and he’s gone now and I can’t ask him.

An hour in a laundromat
I spent an hour in a laundromat this afternoon, washing and drying a load of clothes. I can’t remember the last time I did that. Must be 30 years ago. That’s about how old our house is and many/most of the appliances. A major remodel starts in a week or so, including new appliances which are gasping their last.
When I had lots of Important Stuff to do, sitting in a laundromat was a hassle. Today’s chore wasn’t one at all. I’ve reached he point where waiting for the spin cycle to end is the most productive thing I do all day.
Barb tells me the new washer and dryer can be operated from our phones and we’ll receive notifications (if we want them) when the wash is done. In the meantime, are you sure these aren’t your panties?

Taken sometime in the early 80’s? My desk at KBOA (Kennett MO). Manual typewriter instead of computer; rotary dial phone; 45rpm records in the shelves behind me; paper desk calendar; bulletin board; cassette tape.
