Rain or Shine
Barb is soaking up the sun in Destin while here at home we’re just soaking. Always happy to have rain.
And she closes out a beautiful day at the beach this a lovely sunset.
San Diego
San Diego is beautiful. Without a doubt. The beach (from the pier) is everything you’d expect from a Southern California beach. I didn’t take a lot of pictures because I’m just not a beach/water guy. Everybody said I had to see La Jolla (about a $40 Uber ride from my hotel) and watched the tourists and the seals frolic. Spectacular view and even better, no doubt, at sunset.
San Diego, August 9-10
I’m headed for San Diego in a couple of weeks to visit Lucra Cars (which is in San Marcos, just north of San Diego) and meet the folks doing the restoration on my Land Rover. I’ll probably see some sights while I’m there but it’s the truck I’m going to see. I’ll try to post some photos, from the road or upon my return.

Business Class. The only way to fly.
My brother travels often enough he occasionally gets an upgrade to Business Class. Happily reports he slept 11 of the 13 hour flight back from recent two week China trip. Think Gomer Pyle on Air Force One. Total miles traveled: 19,557
