When I fired up the Apple Music app this morning I was greeted with a new playlist. “In honor of Apple Music’s first decade, take a look back. Relive your all-time favorite tracks, all in one playlist.” 100 songs that will take 7 hours and 10 minutes to listen to. And a great playlist it is. Apple Music launched on June 30, 2015 and I did my first blog post on July 2. I was immediately taken with Apple Music and have happily paid $109 a year for the service. While I did not have a massive collection of albums and CD’s, I gave them away shortly after subscribing to Apple Music and have never regretted the decision. In the ensuing ten years Apple Music has “learned” my musical preferences and created better playlists than I could have.
