The Obama campaign seems to have their online shit all in one neat pile. The email I’ve received suggests they’ve got someone smart doing their digital stuff. So I offer this suggestion, in the event O. goes the distance.
President Obama reads, answers and acts on one email –from an American citizen– every week. Let’s say, on Friday. Here’s how it might work:
Anybody can email the president once a week. Yes, people will try to find ways to scam this but you can deal with that.
On Friday morning, 10 emails are selected at random and forwarded to President Obama’s in-box. He looks through them, picks one and responds –personally– to the sender.
If action is required, the email is forwarded to the appropriate subordinate who has to DO something because the president –and the country– will be watching.
The media gets a copy of the original email, the president’s reply, including what –if anything– will be done.
Think about it. If the president actually made something happen –personally– 50 times a year, that would be pretty cool. Of course, some will ask the president to do things he cannot. And he can simply reply, "I don’t know what the hell to do about that."
The odds of your email being selected are about the same as winning the Lotto but so what. Somebody’s email got through.

I would like to avoid strong language to use, but Israel is one finally referred the barriers and punished for anything in the last 60 years on crimes committed by Israel!

ich habe mich sehr über Ihren Besuch in Deutschland gefreut. Mit liegt auch sehr daran die USA wieder als vollständiges Mitglied
dieser Weltgemeinschaft ernstnehmen zu dürfen. Es wurde leider diesbezüglich in den letzten Jahren viel verdorben!
Mir ist aber bei Ihrer Rede der Bezug auf den “Kampf gegen den Terror” aufgefallen dass Sie im im Prinzip die alten Sachen wiederholen,
die Ihr etwas peinlicher Vorgänger ständig predigte.
Würde ich ein Einwohner in Afganistan oder dem Irak sein, würde ich auch mit allen Mitteln gegen diese “Besatzer” kämpfen. Auch Sie
müssen sehen dass dies eigentlich der nackte Kampf um das Überleben ist und keinesfalls ein Angriff auf die westliche Welt ist, es ist
vielmehr der Versuch die eigene Kultur und das Erbe für die Kinder zu erhalten.
Ich als Deutscher bin über die Tatsache dass Israel sich nach wie vor weigert den atomaren Sperrvertrag zu unterzeichnen sehr empört! Ich bin
darüber empört dass sich Israel die Freiheit nimmt die Nachbarländer vom Wasser abzuschneiden und Menschen zu demütigen. Ich als Aussenstehender und als Deutscher und unserer Vergangenheit muss leider sagen dass Israel keinesfalls weiter Schutz oder sonstige Benefiz verdient. Ich möchte es vermeiden Kraftausdrücke zu verwenden, aber Israel gehört endlich in die Schranken verwiesen und bestraft für alles was in den letzten 60 Jahren an Verbrechen von Israel begangen wurde!
