I really liked John Corbett’s “Chris” in Northern Exposure. And I thought he was pretty good as Carrie’s love interest on Sex and the City. I could only stomach about 10 minutes of “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.” But I loved Corbett’s new series on FX, Lucky. “After losing the million dollars he won in the World Championship of Poker a year earlier, Lucky must find a way to pay back his recently deceased wifes parents for her funeral without gambling.”
I was channel surfing Friday night and just happened to catch the two-episode pilot. I Tivo’d them and pulled a still I could use for this blog. When I went to the FX website, I noticed they had pulled (what appears to be) the exact frame. I had also jotted down a couple of quotes only to find the FX promotions department was ahead of me again. “After the first car, its all muscle memory.” (:90 video clip) This promises to be a very funny show. Airs Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. Central so I’ll have to Tivo until the ABC dick heads cancel NYPD Blue.
