How to rip DVD’s with Handbrake

Mac only. Handbrake is THE tool for converting a DVD video to a file you can do something with. I use it a couple of times a week. When I wanted the “cut the budget” scene from the movie Dave, I found that chapter on the DVD and used Handbrake to convert it to an mov file. Have I mentioned how much easier everything is on a Mac?

  1. That would have been easy enough for me to check. Not sure why I thought it was just Mac. Seems that’s often the case. I find something I love and rave about it, only to discover it’s not available on the PC. Thanks for setting the record straight.

  2. Just so you know. Handbrake is NOT Mac only. I’ve been using it for years on Linux.

I do agree, Handbrake is the best. I’ve backed up my whole movie collection to my media server with it.

Nothing like having freedom of choice on Linux. ;)
