  1. Having used only four tracks, yes, it was amazing. The only reasons they were able to achieve such depth in the recording were…
    1. Lennon/McCartney’s original vision/ideas which were unheard of at the time.
    2. George Martin’s genius recording techniques.
    3. “Bouncing” the tracks. Basically, this is when they would record 4 tracks and then playback all four onto 1 track. Thereby having 4 sources already on the tape with 3 more tracks available. As you can imagine, they did this constantly in order to achieve a sound that STILL sounds revolutionary. The only other guy who was remotely close to their sound at this time was Phil Spector and even he would admit Martin was better!
