Andy doesn’t share my appreciation for XM Radio. Ironically, he might find it more (or less?) objectionable if he shared my many years in the business. A dozen on the air (1972-1984)…another 19 on the network fringe. You might even count all those years I spent growing up in a “radio family.” All the things he feels XM Radio threatens have been gone a long time. Sort like complaining that cinder blocks will be the demise of any new pyramids. I’m a Radio Boy. But I suspect the days of “broadcast” are gone…or going. I like the idea of 1,000 people having their own websites more than one rich old fucker having his own radio station. Or 12-hundred radio stations. Power to the people.
